Force Rod: A short stave or rod that stores psychic energy that can be used later by the Psyker to augment a Psykic attack.
The technology behind Force Rods is unknown to the Imperium, who have found many of them on planets such as Karsh XIII. They have presumably been made by aliens and abandoned when the race died out or moved on.
Force rods are often, if not always, like black flutes with ebedded circuitry.
