Henrik Kraly: Oswald von Konigswald's steward. In 2502 he was dispatched to the World's Edge Mountains with a letter inviting Genevieve Sandrine du Pointe du Lac Diuedonne to Oswald's pageant in which Detlef Sierck's play of the events of 2477 would be performed. He accompanied the vampire back to the Empire, and was in charge of security for the pageant. He was foremost in the investigation of the series of bizarre murders which plagueed the company at Castle Drachenfels, and it was he put Vargr Breughel to the torture as a suspect.
This was mostly due to the fact that Breughel was a mutant, and not, as events demonstrated, the murderer. Detlef Sierck, Vargr's close friend, vowed vengeance on Kraly. Kraly was arrested after the climax of the performance and charged with Breughel's murder. Despite passionate deposition from Sierck, he was acquitted.
However, without his salary from the von Konigswalds, Kraly was unable to pay a pfennig of his legal costs and spent the rest of his miserable existence in Mundsen Keep.
