Krugenheim: A large town in Stirland. Krugenheim is off a bend in the river Stir, and is surrounded by the Great Forest on all sides. Krugenheim itself is on the smaller River Glosch, which flows into the Stir from the north-east, and sits on the summit of a large hill, near to where the Glosch joins the Stir. Compared to the might of Nuln or Altdorf, it is tiny, and even Wurtbad, further down the Stir to the west dwarfs Krugenheim.

Krugenheim's primary function is as staging point for adventurers on their way to the World's Edge mountains, or for travellers to and from the Dwarf hold of Karak Kadrin. Despite its small size, Krugenheim manages to support a barracks of Templars of the White Wolf, and at least two inns; the Purse and Pocket and the Squandered Youth.

Krugenheim's most famous tourist attraction is Pulg's Grand Carnival – a bizarre bestiary of monsters and creatures from giant rats to wyverns. Its proprietor, Hannibal Pulg, earned the wrath of the local council, who called in the knights of the White Wolf to evict the animals and arrest Pulg. They were thwarted, at least in part, by Hans, Plug's newest employee and Heidi, who was the Carnival’s animal keeper. The animals survived, although Pulg was arrested.
